Leadership

Mrs. Floredenis Brown is a dedicated educator and leader with nearly 30 years of experience. She is a double alumna of the University of Miami, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, and she holds a Specialist Degree from Florida International University. She is currently completing her doctoral studies at St. Thomas University and is a Cabrini Fellow at the University of Notre Dame for Catholic School Principals.
Mrs. Brown has served as an Assistant Principal and instructional coach in both public and private education. She began her journey at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic School as Assistant Principal in 2018 and became Principal in 2019, where she finds her greatest fulfillment advocating for students with disabilities.
An active member of the Catholic community, Mrs. Brown participates in numerous ministries, including Life in the Spirit Seminars, Emmaus, and parish prayer groups. She is a former coordinator for the Jesus is Lord Chapter of Magnificat and currently serves on the Region Worship Service Team for Region 3. She is an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, serves on the board for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the Archdiocese of Miami, and conducts speaking engagements nationwide on topics relating to her faith and Catholicism.
Mrs. Brown has been married for 20 years and is a proud mother of two boys, both benefiting from a Catholic education.

Mr. Joshua Rugama is a committed educator and faith-filled leader dedicated to guiding students toward academic success and spiritual growth. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University.
Mr. Rugama has taught students across both elementary and middle school grade levels, fostering a love of learning and helping each child reach their fullest potential. He believes strongly in the power of collaboration between school and home, working closely with families to ensure every student thrives in a supportive and faith-centered environment.
Deeply rooted in his Catholic faith, Mr. Rugama has served in ministry for over a decade within the Archdiocese of Miami. His service includes past roles as a youth minister, Coordinator of Encuentros Juveniles, the Archdiocesan Youth Movement, and youth and young adult representative on the Synod Preparatory Commission. He continues to serve across the Archdiocese in retreats and service projects, helping to inspire young people to grow in faith and leadership.
Our Lady of the Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic School employs or contracts teachers who hold baccalaureate or higher degrees and who are professionally certified or in the certification process.
